Life on Earth is adapted to the rotation of our planet. Humans have an internal biological clock that helps them anticipate and adapt to the regular rhythm of the day, namely circadian rhythm. Scientific research has shown the importance of circadian rhythm for human health, and led to a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in . It is studied at many prestigious organizations such as University of Oxford, Harvard Medical School, Brandeis University, Rockefeller University and Salk Institute.

Tempori is an innovative iPhone and Apple Watch app that helps users schedule several basic daily activities, based on general circadian rhythms determined by daylight. It informs the user which of those activities are suitable at anytime during a day, and lets the user set constrained schedules intuitively. The user can study year-round daylight conditions at the current location interactively. The watch app tracks suitability of the activities continuously. In both iPhone and watch apps, the user can record health activities and save data into the Health app.

If the user subscribes to premium features, daylight conditions, daily temperature range and precipitation anywhere in the world can be studied, as well as hourly temperatures in US. Travel plans can be set on a map, and the watch app will help the user prepare for jet lag by automatically shifting schedules in the few days before the trip. Personal activity data in the Health app will be visualized with relevant schedules, for convenient comparison. These include sleep analysis, heart rates, dietary energy intake, caffeine intake, environmental and headphone sound levels, workouts, mindful sessions, toothbrushing and handwashing events. Further, some health data are analyzed and visualized separately, to provide insights and guidance. These include heart rates, sound levels, and body mass index (BMI). Correlated color temperature of light sources can be measured. Mercury level data of popular fish are provided, for dietary health. Watch face complications offer gentle hints of the most important activity at anytime. In addition, the watch app detects if the user has gone to bed at scheduled bedtime, by heart rates and motion. If not, it will notify the user.

Tempori offers novel interaction design, while taking advantage of and enhancing watch's essential function: timing. The approach of better timing for health and productivity is simple but effective. Tempori will help Apple Watch users build healthy habits. However, determination and patience of users are necessary for good results.

Tempori does not collect and store any personal data from users. Approximate location is required to determine sunrise and sunset times, while using the iPhone app. Tempori is integrated with the Apple Health app. All location and health data stay on the user's device.
